Nailing All The Elements Of An Irresistible Offer – Part 2
Nov 07, 2024In Part 1, I went through all the elements of an irresistible offer and showed you what to check for before making yours.
Today, you’ll see exactly how other course creators have done it successfully and brought in consistent 7 figures in the process. I’ll walk you through five proven examples and highlight what they did right to get to …
And how you can do the same for your offer, with just a bit of constructive thinking.
Let’s dive into it.
Dissecting Five 7-Figure Offers And Dialing Into How You Can Emulate The Successful Elements
Every offer we’ll analyze uses an evergreen webinar as a primary selling driver. We aren’t talking about the funnel as a whole today and are focusing on the offer — but I wanted to highlight this part too.
With that said, let’s look at my favorite on the list:
Piano In 21 Days
Of course I’m biased here, but the fact is this funnel & the offer we make via the webinar have been consistently successful for years now.
Let’s see why that’s the case through the elements I introduced in Part 1 of the article.
For starters, we bump up value perception by offering a compelling dream outcome — learn your favorite songs on the piano quickly and while having fun.
Then, there’s a high likelihood of achievement given the way I present the offer, past successes, and the guarantee.
Plus, as you can see from the course’s name, the time delay is practically non-existent for this type of offer. Same goes for the effort and sacrifice, especially when compared to the alternatives.
Now, even though scarcity is rarely found in online course businesses, the “Piano In 21 Days” webinar offer adds some:
The first 5 people who buy and pay in full get a physical package mailed to them.
As far as urgency goes, there’s a limited-time discount with no exceptions after the deadline passes. Sounds standard, but it works pretty well. The lesson — don’t eliminate something because it’s typical…
Eliminate it only if it doesn’t work.
Next, we add a bunch of bonuses to the offer. It’s not about the number, of course. It’s about each one adding tangible value and showing the prospect how they can reach the desired outcome quicker & easier will.
The “Piano In 21 Days” course pricing is definitely top of the market. But the way the price is presented ensures there’s the “premium” label attached, so prospects see it as more than justified. Then, the discount makes it look even better.
Plus, there’s the 30-day unconditional guarantee. It’s simple, yet it does a terrific job of making it easier for people to pay the above-mentioned price because it takes away the risk.
When talking about the outside of the offer elements, the pain of wanting to play an instrument but forever struggling with actually doing it can get serious.
On the other hand, the purchasing power of my market isn’t as great as I would like. I don’t offer a business opportunity or target people who already make a bunch of money.
Instead, I’m looking at an average person looking to learn to play some songs on the piano.
Moreover, my market isn’t easy to target either. But it is a growing market, just because there are more people in general, and learning the piano is always in demand with a solid percentage.
So, I’m definitely not in a perfect market. That’s where the offer elements come in and help me convert at a higher rate.
Okay, enough about my offer. Let’s talk about another one from my friend & former accountability partner, Nate Dodson:
Microgreens Farmer
It’s a business course that covers every aspect of building high perceived value:
The dream outcome is running your own business instead of going through college, working for someone else, trading time for money, etc. while making 6 figures and feeling good for turning the world into a better place.
On top of this, you see exactly why actually doing this is likely to happen and fast (get your first sale in a couple of weeks) without too much effort & sacrifice on your end.
There’s no scarcity in the offer, but urgency delivers because the offer is available only for a very limited period of time. This makes the likelihood of achievement spiel feel more realistic too.
Bonuses are exceptional and fit into the theory we defined in Part 1 perfectly.
The $297 pricing comes without a discount because the urgency lies elsewhere. It could probably be higher given the offer and make even more money — but Nate is more than satisfied with the results as they are.
As far as guarantees go, he has two. One unconditional for getting your money back and a conditional one that gets you a refund whenever as long as you use the course as intended.
The outside of the offer part is dialed in for Nate too. Pain is high because you know what you want to do (run your own business)…
But don’t know how to go about it in practice.
Purchasing power is definitely high because we are looking at startups, and the microgreens market is exploding right now. The only thing that’s not easy is targeting the ideal prospect.
But when you only have one or a few elements missing while all others are top notch…
The chances of crushing it go sky-high.
Proofread Anywhere
This is a stunning offer by Caitlin Pyle. The perceived value is super high despite the fact there’s no time delay disclaimer. Which means it can only get better.
Caitlin’s offer takes urgency to the next level by offering $100 off in the 60 minutes after making it on the webinar. So, you can buy the course anytime…
But you will pay the full price.
As with all 7-figure offers, bonuses play their part well. And the pricing is, IMO, lower than it could be with the offered business opportunity & dream outcome. But it doesn’t devalue the offer and works well.
The standout here is that there’s no transparent guarantee. Which shows you that when you nail everything else…
You can forsake one element entirely and still reach success. It’s all a matter of testing and finding the winning combination.
As far as outside the offer components go, the pain of wanting to make money from home but never doing it is high. Similar to Nate, everything here is more than good except easily targeting the ideal prospect.
In a nutshell, this is a strong offer that performs exceptionally well despite some obvious room for improvement.
Rent 2 Rent Success
Stephanie Taylor is yet another example of getting to high perceived value without hitting the time delay aspect very hard. The dream outcome is very appealing though:
Replace your 9-5 with property income without buying a single house.
It’s intriguing, and Stephanie pays that intrigue off by hinting exactly how you can get there.
The urgency is a discounted price available only DURING the webinar (£1,897 instead of £2,500. This is similar to the “Proofread Anywhere” offer but with an even shorter deadline.
The pricing is high-tier, which the promise and the way it’s teased plus bonuses enable. Stephanie offers only a conditional guarantee, dependent on you going through EVERY demand the course makes.
Having only a conditional guarantee reiterates the point of showing you all these examples:
There’s no one right way to do this. Yes, there’s a common theme and you’re seeing it in action today. But combining all these elements is a matter of experimenting…
Which you now have all the ingredients to do.
You also know how to evaluate the market and outside the offer components, which in Stephanie’s case has a strong pain with enough purchasing power given the business opportunity…
While also being easy to target given it’s the only course I presented that covers a local instead of a global audience.
Finally, let’s cover what I think is the best overall offer (yes, including mine):
Story Vault
Elise Darma helps business owners who want to grow their business via TikTok and Instagram. And she gives them that served on a silver platter with high perceived value and virtually no time delay or hard work.
There’s a $700 time-limited discount (from $1497 to $797) driving urgency, which seems huge right off the bat. Plus, it comes with a stack of obviously valuable bonuses, and the price feels premium yet lower than many not-so-well-presented offers.
There’s an unconditional 14-day guarantee, which fits perfectly given how fast people can apply what Elise teaches.
Plus, she’s definitely in the right market, with all the outside the offer components working for her. The pain of not having enough traffic come in is high, the purchasing power for changing this is present, finding business owners with potential that struggle with social media is relatively easy, and more such people are constantly entering the market.
Given how all the components line up, this is as close to irresistible as one can get.
Conclusion
You’ve seen what elements you need to optimize, how to do it, and how others have done it successfully.
You know that you don’t have to nail every element to succeed and have a way to know if each one is worth pursuing.
You have “permission” to mix things up and experiment to see what works best for your unique offer & target audience.
So, here’s to using all that to carve out an offer that’s irresistible for your prospects…
And that gets you to the money & lifestyle you want, whatever that might be.
I’m rooting for you.
